Being born into a family of animal lovers I was raised in a house with cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, toads, birds, fish, ferrets and yes dogs. So it came as no surprise to anyone that my animal adoration turned me into the neighborhood go-to for pet care. It took a decade of working in service to pay for the pets and strays I continued to collect before I discovered dog walking as a career. I have never looked back. As it turns out, working to be a positive and rewarding part of an animals day is something I have been doing for longer than I can remember. So after five years working for others I decided to take my life-time education and open my own company. With a goal of providing the kind of qualified care I myself would want in a dog walker I attended and in 2015 achieved certification from the international Dog*tec Academy specializing in positive reinforcement training and using only humane techniques to become a Certified Dog Walker(CDW).
I find tremendous pleasure in building strong and trusting relationships with the dogs in my care. I often consider myself the "entertainment director" of the group and am usually on the ground with the dogs or chasing and being chased. I love being outside at the beach or in the woods and take great pride in doing so safely and positively.
For me being around animals and especially dogs is not a job but simply a way of living.
